Starlite WarmUp '97
Checkpoint Workers
(This Rallye was originally run Saturday, November 15, 1997)

Without our workers a Rallye could never happen. These people were responsible for manning the various controls throughout the event, waiting in the dark and cold for contestants to appear, checking contestants in and recording their arrival times.

A sincere thank you to all of these people:

Rallyemaster

A special thank you to Rallyemaster Keith Horton for designing the course and laying out checkpoint and course control locations.

Checkpoint Three was also located in Ventura County with the Standoff on Price Rd. north of Los Angeles Ave. (not the same Los Angeles Ave. in the Bardsdale Maze). The Inmarker was located on La Loma Ave., just east of Price Rd., which required a "great circle" route to get there without going through the Inmarker backwards (which several people did, ooops!).

Checkpoint 5

Captain: Mike Mahneke
Staff:
Mike Pariseau
Jim Barnes
Rick Merrifield

Checkpoint Five was located in Ventura County in the beautiful Ojai Valley. Standoff was high on the hill on California Highway 150 at the scenic overlook. The Inmarker was down in the valley on Fordyce Rd., just west of Carne Rd.
